public schools across the state the resources they need to unburden administrators, support teachers, and most importantly, engage students. While membership in the OPSRC is open to all public schools in Oklahoma, we are particularly focused on meeting the needs of smaller schools and districts. They typically lack a large central/administrative office found in larger districts, and the services OPSRC offers are tailored to help address the administrative challenges they face.
The Teaching and Learning team is dedicated to providing quality professional development in the areas of classroom management, classroom content and leadership development. The team provides a published PD calendar as well as customized professional development topics that meet the unique needs of your school/district. Team members use their 60 years of combined educational experience in every grade level to provide PD at your site, at centralized statewide locations or at the OPSRC training center.
Our expectation is: Learn Now, Expand Today, Use Tomorrow.
The Finance team provides a range of services to meet your needs. We can help set up expenditure and income budgets for one year or over a 5 to 6-year term, provide analysis of current trends in the state education budget and help provide answers to school business questions. We train in all areas of school finance, including health care reporting, coding for various programs and references and resources for help in various areas of school business. We will also design special projects for our members upon request. Our goal is to help districts build a strong set of easily-readable financial documents to help them make informed decisions.
The Technology team provides assistance to schools with technical issues and provides training and workshops on pressing technology topics. The team is available to assist with continuity plans, eRate applications and other school and district technology decisions. Technology workshops focus on topics of interest, including iPads in the classroom, Web 2.0, The Flipped Classroom model, district websites, and iBooks Author.
