Job Description

Reports to the Board of Directors, The Executive Director will have overall strategic and operating responsibilities for all programming at Le Monde International School, Public Charter of Norman, Oklahoma (LeMIS). The Executive Director will be responsible for superior financial, operational and data management and reporting to ensure the progress of outstanding schools and professional development programs. He or she will work closely with the School Board offers recommendations to the Board on items requiring Board Action based on thorough study and analysis. The Executive Director prides themselves as the leader of exemplary customer satisfaction that supports instructional leadership and ultimate outcomes for our students.

In addition, the Executive Director will serve as liaison to LeMIS partners and vendors and work with the LeMIS Board of Directors and the Principal to keep them abreast of programmatic strategies and challenges. The Executive Director will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing the operational aspects and will create and secure business operations of the school. The Executive Director will oversee the cultivation and assist with fundraising efforts.

Required Education

Bachelor's degree and minimum of three (3) years of full-time experience in administration or business operations.

Position Responsibilities

  • Communicates the educational vision and mission and belief standards effectively to all stakeholders
  • Ensures that policies and procedures of the school promote safe and respectful environment
  • Keeps the Board informed on issues, needs, and operation of the school system
  • Develops and manages organizational, school and program budgets
  • Develops robust financial systems at all levels of the organization
  • Encourages collaborative relationships with businesses and industries in the community
  • Develops and implements donor and sponsorship revenue opportunities
  • Ensures effective and efficient internal financial controls
  • Ensures timely and accurate external audits and reporting
  • Assists the Board in its efforts to interpret public opinion concerning the schools
  • Manages LeMIS Business Office-Develop effective and efficient policies and procedures for office work streams
  • Oversees long-term analysis and projection of staffing needs and availability
  • Develops a comprehensive plan for performance evaluation of all employees
  • Develops a plan of long range goals and objectives for the school and provides opportunities for staff and community to engage in long-range planning activities
  • Implements a system of internal communication in the schools
  • Negotiates annual and multi‐year contacts for related vendor services
  • Establishes performance metrics for each vendor that define quality and budget targets
  • Establishes and reports on routine quality checks for each vendor
  • Facilitates RFP and/or bid process per policy to procure large-­‐scale services
  • Incentivizes vendors, as appropriate, to meet expectations of performance contract
  • Collaborates with President and Encumbrance Clerk and Treasure to develop competitive human resource policies and procedures appropriate for a multi‐faceted organization
  • Ensures LeMIS facilities address the health, safety and security concerns of students, visitors and employees
  • Implements comprehensive facilities management plans for each LeMIS building
  • Develops protocols for acquisitions and renovations
  • Provides oversight of IT Management and development of a comprehensive plan including all programming
  • Provides oversight of any transportation contract
  • Manages Food Services and ensures the contract is meeting LeMIS’s health and wellness standards and goals
  • Secures other contracts and manage relationships with consultants and contracted services
  • Manages LeMIS’s legal obligations and communications
  • Evaluates performance of the school by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
  • Uses technology and innovation
